An international traffic port

The Port of Hanstholm is an international traffic port that meets the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) requirements for port security (International Ship and Port Facility Security, ISPS Code).

Port security concerns everyone who works and travels at the Port of Hanstholm on a daily basis, and it is therefore in everyone’s interest to keep the area safe and secure.

When the Port of Hanstholm has ships calling that are subject to ISPS regulations, they use the port’s ISPS approved areas. The Port of Hanstholm has a number of quay areas that are approved for this purpose, and they will be cordoned and marked with ISPS signage when in use.
