Quays and basins
Port of Hanstholm has nine basins, some of which are dedicated to fishing vessels and others to cargo vessels. In addition, there are basins that can be used by both fishing vessels and cargo vessels.
The port has seven ISPS facilities, of which six are on/off facilities and one is 24/7.
Below are all the basins and quays at the Port of Hanstholm.
Basin 1 and outer port
Basin 1 contains Quay 12, 12x (outer harbor), 13, 17, 18 and 19.
Quay 12x was established in connection with the port expansion in 2020 and can, among other things, be used for loads with larger stones.

Quay 12 has concrete paving in the quay street. The quay is primarily used for stone and aggregate cargo, but can also be used for general cargo.

Quay 13 is primarily used by fishing vessels, but can also be used by smaller non-ISPS commercial vessels. The quay is typically used as a mooring or repair quay, as the shipyard has a workshop right next to the quay.

Quay 17 is primarily used as an unloading quay for fishing vessels. The quay is an ISPS facility and can therefore also be used by cargo vessels. The quay has direct access into auction hall 3. At the northern end of the quay there is an ice dispensing facility.

Quay 18/81 is an ISPS facility and is used to unload gas oil from tankers, among other things. The quay is a bridge quay that can be used by both cargo vessels and fishing vessels. There is both ice and oil dispensing at the quay.

Quay 19/85 is used by both cargo and fishing vessels. cargo vessels with smaller drafts can use the quay for loading and unloading CARGO, and fishing vessels primarily use the quay as a berth. Hanstholm Havns Olieforsyning also has a bunker station on the quay.

Basin 2
Basin 2 contains quays 22a, 22, 23 and 24. The basin is used by both cargo and fishing vessels.
Quay 22a is used as a berth for fishing vessels.

Quay 22b is used as a berth by smaller fishing vessels. There is a wire winch on the quay.

- Length: 35 m It is not recommended to go closer to the bottom than approx. 10 m, as there is a stone set into the water, so the water depth drops in the last meters.

Quay 23 is an ISPS facility and is used by both cargo vessels and fishing vessels. The quay is a bunker quay where gas oil is unloaded and bunkered, and therefore Quay 23 cannot be used as a berth. The quay is a bridge quay.

Quay 24 is an ISPS facility and is primarily used by cargo vessels for handling General cargo and Bulk Cargo. At the southern end of the quay, there is a ramp that can be used by vessels for handling CARGO that can be driven on/off board. The quay also has a weighbridge and a bulk hall owned by Hanstholm Stevedore.

Basin 3
In Basin 3 there are quays 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38 and 39. The basin is used almost exclusively by fishing vessels.
Quay 31 and 39 are located on the north and south sides of the entrance to Basin 3 respectively. They form the ends of the two "chops" that are often used for storing gear for repairs, where vessels dock with their stern facing the quay. The quays are not used as berths.

Quay 35 is located at the bottom of Basin 3 and is also called the 'trawl bridge'. The quay is a bridge quay used exclusively for hauling gear.

Quay 37 is used as a mooring for fishing vessels. At the end of the basin there is a stone wall, so vessels should not go further in than about 15-20 meters from the bottom.

Quay 38 is an unloading quay with a short distance into auction hall 5. The quay is only exceptionally used as a berth - and only by agreement with PORT SECURITY.

Basin 4
Basin 4 contains quays 41, 42 and 43. The basin is used for unloading both fish for consumption and industrial fish.
Quay 41 serves as an unloading quay for auction halls 1 and 2, as well as for Hanstholm Service Center and Grøn's collection center. With the exception of the innermost 50 meters, the quay may not be used as a berth. If the inner 50 meters are to be used for mooring, it is only by agreement with PORT SECURITY.
Water depth: The outer 100 m: 9.0 m (8.8 m LAT). The rest of the quay is 7.5 m (7.3 m LAT).

Quay 42 is primarily used as a berth.

Quay 43 has facilities for unloading industrial fish, and both Grenå Lossekompagni and FF Skagen have facilities for both large and small vessels. The outer 200 meters are reserved for unloading industrial vessels, while the inner 90 meters can be used as a berth by agreement with PORT SECURITY.

Basin 5
Basin 5 is home to Quay 51 and 53 and the 'oil bridges'.
Quay 51 is primarily used as a berth for smaller vessels under 25 meters and with a draft of less than 3.0 meters.

Quay 53 is used as a berth for smaller vessels under 25 m and with a draught of 3-4 m. Hanstholm Rescue Station is located at the bottom of the basin, and the lifeboat CB Claudi has a permanent berth at Quay 53. In addition, the two fishing vessels M/S Emily and M/S Nordsøen also have a permanent berth at the quay.

'Oliebroerne'
3 wooden bridges that go out into Basin 5 with access from Fibigers Gade. The angling vessels M/S Mølboen, M/S Yellow Reef, M/S Bonito and M/S Heidi dock at the bridges.

Basin 6
Basin 6 is home to quays 61, 62, 63 and 64. The basin also contains a floating bridge and the smaller Basin 7, which is primarily used by recreational fishermen. At the bottom of the basin are two moorings operated by the service companies Værftet and Villadsens Smedje.
Quay 61 is used as a berth for smaller vessels with a draft of less than 3 meters.

Quay 62 is the small piece of Quay between Quay 61 and the floating bridge plus the floating bridge. Quay and floating bridge are rented by Hanstholm Havns Baadelaug, while some berths are for free use by other vessels.

Quay 63 is the outside of the eastern pier that borders Quay 7. The quay is used as a berth for Hanstholm Baadelaug members.

Quay 64 is used as a berth for vessels with a draft of less than 3 m. This is also where guest sailors are typically assigned a berth. The innermost berths are reserved for vessels having repairs carried out by a smithy at the port (indicated by a yellow stripe on the quay).

Basin 7
Basin 7 is a smaller basin with the three quays 71, 72 and 73 used by Hanstholm Badelaug. In the basin is the port's only slipway, which is managed by Baadelauget.
Quay 71, 72 and 73 are used as berths for members of Hanstholm Baadelaug.

Basin 8
Basin 8 has Quay 81, 82, 83 and 85. Basin 4, 5 and 6 are accessible from the basin.
Quay 81 (the eastern end of Quay 18/81) is an ISPS facility. The quay is a bridge quay and is used by both cargo vessels and fishing vessels as well as for unloading gas oil from tankers. From Quay 18/81 there is both ice and oil delivery.

Quay 82 is the ridge that divides Basin 4 and 5. The quay has oil dispensing and may not be used as a berth.

Quay 83 is the ridge that divides Basin 5 and 6. The quay can be used as a berth, but as smaller vessels often tow trawls ashore from the quay, use as a berth should be avoided.

Basin 9
Basin 9 has Quay 91 and direct access to the port.
Quay 91 and the associated hinterland area are used by ships with greater draught and ships handling heavy cargo. Hanstholm Stevedore has three halls in the area. The quay is an ISPS 24/7 facility and is only accessible to authorized persons - contact PORT SECURITY for access.
