The Port of Fredericia has taken a significant step into the future with the construction of a new, modern container terminal, which is designed to meet the increasing demands of global trade and logistics.
With a water depth of 15 meters, The Port of Fredericia can handle even the largest container ships. The large quay-side area allows for efficient stacking and organizing of containers.
The terminal is designed with a focus on sustainability. Energy-saving technologies and green initiatives are an integral part of the operations.

The container activity in 2025 reached new heights at ADP
In 2025 Fredericia Container Terminal A/S achieved a historic record.
A total of 164,968 TEU was handled over quay – an impressive 33% increase compared to 2024.This significant growth is a clear evidence of efficient operations, strong professional expertise, flexible solutions, and a close daily collaboration between ADP, Fredericia Shipping, and APM Terminals. Together, we create the optimal framework for container handling and logistics solutions in the heart of Denmark.
With a record‑breaking year behind us, we look forward to another strong year for container activities as we continue to develop Fredericia Container Terminal into a central and competitive container hub in Denmark.

Fredericia Container Terminal
Fredericia Container Terminal A/S was established in connection with the expansion of the Port of Fredericia and is owned by Fredericia Shipping (majority shareholder) together with APM Terminals and ADP. This partnership combines strong local roots with global capabilities: APM Terminals contributes international experience, investment capacity, and operational expertise, while Fredericia Shipping and ADP provide regional presence and market insight.
With terminals in both Fredericia and Taulov, the company operates a unified, strategically positioned infrastructure that enables efficient, scalable, and future‑ready container logistics in Western Denmark.

New fixed container service strengthens business in Northwest Jutland
The Port of Hanstholm has implemented a new, fixed weekly container call from Arctic Container Line, now connecting Rotterdam, Hanstholm, and Western Norway.
This new route positions Hanstholm as a central logistics hub and provides companies in Northwest Jutland with more direct and reliable access to the Norwegian market.
The collaboration between Vendelbo Spedition A/S, Arctic Container Line, and the Port of Hanstholm ensures that the route is operated by the feeder vessel MV Arctic Commander. The connection strengthens the region’s infrastructure and creates new opportunities for export, import, and efficient logistics.
The Port of Hanstholm looks forward to further developing the partnership and supporting the businesses that will benefit from this stable, scalable container service.
